Pensioners, unemployed still facing long waits with Service Canada | Globe and Mail

The Globe has followed-up on its September story that reported wait times for EI are inexcusably long. The government stated that they were going to add more resources (after they made massive cuts) to deal with the backlog. This appears not to have occurred. The real story, however, is that these wait time will actually grow once the new EI changes are brought in.
